About Me

I am a Michigan native and a University of Michigan graduate with a B.A. in Political Science and Economics. My work has centered on public service, communications, community engagement, and making government more accessible to the people it serves. Through experiences on Capitol Hill, in state government, and in community-engaged research, I have developed a strong interest in the role clear communication plays in helping public institutions listen, respond, and build trust.

I have worked in both press and constituent-facing roles, including as a Press Intern in the Office of U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth and as a Community Engagement Intern in the Executive Office of Governor Gretchen Whitmer. These experiences have shown me how communications, outreach, and constituent service work together in a strong public office. I have helped turn press coverage, community concerns, and stakeholder feedback into clear information for staff and the public, while approaching correspondence with the empathy and accuracy constituents deserve.

I am especially interested in communications work that connects policy to people’s daily lives. My background in community-engaged research has strengthened my ability to organize information, write clearly for different audiences, and approach public service with care and attention to local context. Whether through press work, constituent correspondence, digital content, or research, I am motivated by opportunities to support offices and organizations that are responsive, thoughtful, and committed to improving people’s lives.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying involved in public service, volunteering, and professional development communities, including through the University of Michigan’s Public Service Intern Program alumni network.
